Ebara Pumps UK, have recently released a new range of EVMS vertical multistage pumps to replace the older EVM range.

The new range consists of six different flow sizes 1, 3, 5, 10, 15 and 20 m3/Hr.

Ebara EVMS Model Range

As before the ports are in line, and at the bottom of the pump, with either round DIN flanges, oval flanges or Victaulic connections.

There are two main types of pump shaft seal fitted to these units, depending upon the number of stages and pressures developed. Although we haven’t yet stripped one down, we can see from the cutaway drawings, that there is either a Burgmann type seal fitted for pressures up to 16 bar, or a cartridge type seal for pressures up to 25 bar. The advantage of having a cartridge type mechanical seal, is that the seal can be changed without the need of disassembling the electric motor bracket; and the spacer coupling design means that there is no longer any need to remove heavy motors over 5.5 KW.

We also notice that Ebara has added extra plugs to both the discharge and suction side, so now either pressure gauges or pressure transducers can be fitted directly on to the pump.

The electric motors fitted to these pumps are high efficiency IE3 over 0.75 Kw Single and three-phase. If in the future the electric motor requires changing, then no problem, the EVMS can now accept standard commercial motors without any modifications, and we keep WEG electric motors here at our premises in Leicester.

We also supply and service vertical multistage pumps from a variety of pump manufacturers such as KSB ( Movitec ), Lowara ( eSV ), Calpeda ( MXV ) and Grundfos ( CRI )
